Stress Management for Journalists Webinars

Why is journalism so stressful?

If you are a journalist then no doubt you are aware of what a stressful profession it can be. Journalism is frequently cited as one of the most stressful jobs around, for example list25.com ranks newspaper reporter and photojournalist numbers 7 and 8 respectively in the top 25 Most Stressful Jobs of 2013.

Long, unpredictable hours, pressure to get the story, and strict deadlines are just a few factors that explain why journalism is so stressful – not to mention the often unpleasant nature of the subject matter itself which can cause post-traumatic stress.

As a journalist you are expected to just deal with the stress, but the competitive nature of the job means it is not easy to take time off to de-stress. Over time, and without a proper outlet, stress can accumulate and eventually spiral out of control.

Stressed journalist

Instant online relief from stress

In each Stress Management for Journalists Webinar, we will cover various different aspects of stress management so you are able to type in questions, comments and feedback as we go along. These aspects include the stress response vs. the relaxation response, good stress vs. bad stress, the specific causes of stress that journalists face, information overload in the digital age, and so on.

Most importantly, I will show you special, highly effective techniques – a new one in each webinar – which you can quickly and easily apply in your daily life to protect yourself against stress.

As a certified hypnotherapist, I have used these techniques countless times in sessions with clients, both in-person and online. Webinars (web seminars), are an ideal platform to deliver these techniques in an extremely efficient and cost-effective way.

The benefits of webinars

The three biggest advantages of webinars are:

  • they are much cheaper than one-to-one sessions
  • you save time by not having to travel anywhere
  • you can attend them from the comfort of your own home

The stress-reducing techniques that I will demonstrate work just as effectively online as they do in-person. Once I have guided you through them, you will be able to practice them by yourself and get the same results.

How do webinars work?

When you sign up to attend my webinar you will automatically receive a link by email. When you click on this link at the day and time of the webinar, it will open a new window in your browser for the webinar.

You will be able to hear my voice and see any materials, such as slides, that I use. If you have any questions or feedback, you simply type them into the box and I will instantly see them and respond to them in the order that I receive them. In this way the webinar is interactive, while guaranteeing your privacy.

How much do webinars cost?

One 90 minute webinar costs only $10 (payment is required in dollars): the equivalent of about £6.60. Considering an in-person hypnotherapy session can cost anywhere between £50 and £150, this is a massive saving. For the price of less than a cinema ticket, you will not only learn about techniques that quickly reduce stress, you will get a chance to experience them in real time as I guide you through them, step by step.

How to sign up

If you click the “Webinar Signup” button in the green box at the top right of this page, it will take you to a calendar showing the webinar schedule. Choose which day suits you, click on that day and you will be prompted to enter your details and make payment using PayPal (you don’t have to have a PayPal account) . When payment is confirmed you will be emailed a link to the webinar which you use to sign in on the day. That’s it!
