  1. you just got into the habit of eating too much food which is high in fat and sugar
  2. you really like the taste of things like chocolate, fast food, snacks etc.
  3. you’re addicted to chocolate, fast food etc.
  4. you turn to fatty and/or sugary foods to distract yourself from stress, boredom and other negative emotions
  5. you have low self esteem and low expectations of yourself
  6. you’ve already tried and failed, and now you feel disheartened
  7. you just can’t see yourself losing weight 

Are any of these true for you? It’s likely more than one of them apply to you. Don’t worry because once you know why you are overweight you can use your answer as part of the solution. Next:

2. Why do you want to lose weight?

This is important because we need to know your motivation for making changes in your life. Losing weight obviously isn’t easy, so it’s essential to know why you want to do it. Remember: hypnosis is a powerful subconscious tool, but it cannot make you do anything against your will!

Do you want to look and feel younger, and have more vitality? Are you worried about your health? Maybe you’re just tired of having a poor self image and want to create a new you. Or maybe you just want to prove to yourself that you can do it, knowing what that will mean to you. 

Hypnosis is the best way to lose weight because it reprograms your subconscious mind to work with you instead of against you.

Let me prove it to you by looking back at question 1 and the answers that I suggested:

  1. If eating food high in fat and/or sugar has become a habit for you, then the best way is to reprogram that habit by creating a new one to replace it, enhancing your motivation in the process. Hypnosis can also help you substitute with other foods that aren’t as unhealthy.
  2. You may really enjoy the taste of those kinds of foods, but this is only short-term satisfaction isn’t it? Hypnosis can help you see where that leads and prioritise what is most important to you in the long term.
  3. Food addiction is a combination of the first two answers: it’s a habit that’s become compulsive, driven by your desire for the food in question. Hypnosis can free you from this pattern of thinking quickly and painlessly by changing your subconscious associations with food.
  4. If you are experiencing a lot of stress, boredom and other negative emotions then hypnosis can give you relief from these feelings so there is less need to turn to food. 
  5. Hypnosis can increase your self-esteem and give you feelings of well-being so that you see yourself as a person who deserves to lose weight and have good things in your life.
  6. Hypnosis can help you understand why you haven’t successfully lost weight in the past and not feel bad about it. With your new understanding of how your conscious and subconscious minds work, you can increase your expectations and belief in your ability to make consistent, long term change.
  7. Using as many of your five senses as possible, hypnosis can greatly increase your “vision” of yourself succeeding, so that you have much more confidence and belief in yourself.

As you can see, hypnosis is a very flexible tool which can be adapted to your individual needs, background, personality, and so on.
